ElBaradei's Remarks in UN: Hails Iran Positive Steps:
The IAEA Director-General says Iran's cooperation with the agency will be reflected in his upcoming report to the UN Security Council.
Mohamed ElBaradei described an August agreement between the Iranian government and the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency, under which Iran promised full cooperation with the agency as an 'important step in the right direction'.
He told the UN General Assembly that there was no concrete evidence that Iran was developing nuclear arms.
ElBaradei added that if the two sides' talks could provide assurance about the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, it would pave the way for confidence-building.
