I love compo's lines,"I'll have an apple tart,or something I can put custard on." "Stormy weather." I loved this episode and it was great to see compo again even if it was in some flashbacks.

I don't think continuity was the issue or the priority at the time. As far as i remember LOTSW was under threat of not being re-commissioned and it was likely thought that it would be better to mark such a landmark early rather than it not be done at all.
A decision i feel was a good one as such a character as Compo deserved recognition.

Roy Clarke obviously didn't care one bit about continuity.When this episode aired it had NOT been 10 years since Compo died,he died in 2000.And this should have been what the final which aired this year.Fitting,as it WOULD have been 10 years then.I never understand the contradictions and lack of continuity throughout this show from Roy Clark...
