He was brilliant and gorgeous to look at. But what's with some critics' obsession with his lisp? Can't hear any. We do not have any singer today that has what Corelli had.

He has it all figured out. The second verse is not as good as the first because he is kicking off air pressure but he recovers and nails everything to the end. It is particularly gratifying to hear that he opens the throat and vowels and yawns the head voice into the brilliantly open piano tones. This is expert singing at the highest level. This is not a matter of being born with "it". He solved the problems: He combined the Melocchi and Gigli's methods and astounded everyone. Bravo!!!
