Glad to see it's got a real transmission instead of the CVT. CVT should only be in scooters where it started.

i don't know what the problem is here. it's a STOCK CAR! it's not made to drive like a flippin' sports car or something. it's a freakin' hatchback.

A nicely tuned stock 2.4L can produce as much as 200, at least.
I have this car, it makes me sad. It's fun, but slow.

This is terrible for a 2,4, and its an AWD car, really terrible.
And only 158 hp from a 2,4? What the hell?

@bmtimv its actually toyota that needed to do that because they designed the vibe, its the same thing as the matrix. but gm needs to put 5 or 6 speed trannys in everything too

Gm needs to start putting 5 speed plus auto trans in their cars, their mpg will magically rise as well.

The 4-speed auto is unique to the 2.4-liter AWD Vibe (as well as the 2.4-liter AWD Matrix).
The 2.4-liter is fitted with a 5-speed auto in the FWD Vibe. The 2.4 is standard in the Vibe GT and optional in the base Vibe. The 1.8-liter is stuck with the 4-speed auto, as well.

Agreed ... or better yet, 6. A good transmission makes a huge amount of difference.
