http://www.parleysdieselperformance.com/ The guys at Parley's Diesel Performance got together with Graydon Blair of http://www.utahbiodieselsupply.com/ for a tour of his personal bio diesel refinery. Graydon was kind enough to show us home biodiesel equipment on a large level.

You can run it without modification, although in cold weather you need to mix a little with normal diesel to keep it from gelling.

Where are you located? Here in the US, methanol is very common at race shops. It's averaging a little over $4 US per gallon in small quantities (less in large bulk purchases). Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) runs about $65 US for a 55 pound bag. At those prices, assuming your waste oil is free, the finished product will cost you a little over $1 US per gallon.
