yeah you're right . i've never really seen FATE, but it does show strong resemblance.

@gixer912 I doubt that since Torchlight is pretty much the next step of evolution from FATE which was done by Travis Baldtree ( of Runic software and of Mythos )

Torchlight is 95% FATE clone and 5% new concepts.

Mythos was leaps and bounds removed from FATE

Is this being played right now in the closed beta? I played the original mythos beta from flagship and loved it, I would love to get my hands on this. Is there a release date yet?

The gameplay is still the same. But you can change the camera, and it's 3D(it's always been 3D) And you can move with the WASD, or point and click.

It also looks like it'll be open world now. Before it was just gonna be instance based. You should go to their website and read some about it/look at screenshots before you jump to conclusions.

This game is being butchered if they made it look like that ugly 3d generic crap from the awesome 2D Diablo style. What the hell were the developers thinking? Game will fail now without a doubt. Don't think most people get why their showing the 3D game play, its because that's what they turned it into another crappy 3d mmo. I mean Diablo is still being played to this day because of its unique style to all the other lame rpgs out and this was similar but mmo which means it would be popular.
