I applaud her. A library is supposed to be a quiet place to go. To read and study. When I attended college and was studying for finals (which is stressful enough), I would go to the library sometimes to focus in a (what is supposed to be) a quiet place. Plenty of times there were rude people who did not take others into consideration who just had to be loud. If you want to be loud, go somewhere else. I hope this "Asian" girl gets some good responses and these rude girls get theirs!

However, this is my pet peeve. These University Presidents make more than the Governor does and they can not clearly designate specific areas for cell phones, eating etc. and enforce the rules with some teeth... at least not here at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Real learning, innovation, originality can not take place to the degree that it should given the frequency of distractions. These students are group think clones...novelty is mere variation upon the "old".
