@hoho168 THANKS A LOT. btw if ever I want a dedicated video lense which do you prefer a 17-70 2.8 -4 or the 24-70 f2.8.. thank you for being responsive on such inquiry.

Are the automatic aperture switches audible in the video when going between light and dark scenes? I currently have the 17-70 2.8-4.0 on a 550D and the aperture changes can be heard on the video and it gets quite annoying.

I suggest using the 24-70 f2.8.
This lens use ring hsm ,the speed and accuracy is better than the 17-70 .
