Happy Go Round was a popular children's television program in the 70's.
The original name was "It's A Small World".
But due to copyright issues the name was changed to Happy Go Round.
The show was the first children's educational television program to be given a C classification in Australia.
It featured a very talented cast of youngsters, singing and dancing each week.
The show was recorded at Channel 9 in Brisbane. It was broadcast Nationally around Australia and ran from 1976-1979.
It then had another name change and was called "It's Now", running for a further 12 months.
One of the original cast members was Darlene Steinhardt later to be known as Darlene Szchech now running the very popular Hillsong church in Sydney.
The show's original compere was Jackie MacDonald.
Kathy Davis, Kirri Adams and Simon Gallagher also compered in the later years.
The producer was Paul Sharratt.
