This wedding was amazing!! They decided to host it up north, something unique, so we traveled about 5 hours to the location. It was overlooking Lake Michigan. The staff at the yacht club were very nice and helpful. This was there first Indian Wedding, and it was a big hit! Mandavo did the mandap, Photo was local and video was from Fifth and Main Productions out of Birmingham, MI. The food was provided by the club itself. We had 2 tops and 4 subs for sound along with a huge light show. 1200 watt fogger, two ADJ laser's, 4 Chauvet Min Spot LED Moving Heads, two ADJ Tri-Phase LED lights, and 2 Chauvet Colorpallete's. Everyone danced from start to finish and we would have gone all night, if not for the hall saying no!

Directly from the groom (below)

Naveen, We just wanted to thank you again for all your hard work last night - you were absolutely amazing. Everyone had a phenomenal time and we can't even begin to count the number of people who said that it was the most fun dance floor they had ever been a part of. We are so happy we chose you to be there for our wedding - you were an absolute professional and friendly from start to finish and were incredibly patient with us (especially when we took our time picking out our variety of songs for the evening). I've never seen a dance floor so packed for so long at a wedding - you were great at getting people involved and keeping the party going. We are 100% willing to be a reference for you in the future for prospective clients and will be recommending you to all our friends in the Detroit area.

Thanks again for everything!

- Niki and Varun

  • It just looks like a cluster of lights on auto.

  • RokDAWG1 - I had the 2 laser's on master slave mode. The ADJ tri phase LED were also on master slave mode. the chauvet min spots were hooked together also.

what would you have suggested to make it better??

  • @naveen4nse @naveen4nse I'd sujest programming the lights so they make a little sense. In order to get the most from them, you have to show them off and make them work for you. Master-slave just doesn't do it. You're still running on auto.

I have a lot of everything from LED's to par cans and all sorts of lights. I did a gig with just 6 Chauvet Intimidator 1.2 lights and it looks like a monster light show.

  • RokDawg1 - I recently bought a chauvet DMX controller - I have to hook up the lights and figure out how to DMX them and how to get the most from the light show!

  • what are some of the songs in this?

  • The first minute were just some cute wedding songs the kids did a dance to.

Open dancing I played a mix of bollywood and bhangra. Order was

    1. Deewangi (Movie - Om Shanti Om)

    2. Soni De Nakre (Movie - Partner)

    3. Mauja Hi Mauja (Movie - Jab We Met)

    4. Darshan (Punjabi Song)

    5. Hor Glassy 50 Cent Remix (Punjabi Song)

    6. Desi Girl (Movie - Dostana)

    7. Poker Face (Lady Gaga)

  • if you get some indian wedding inquires , let me know, I will FLY out to vegas, or where you are at, and we can rock them out together!

  • hey vinnie - thanks for the comments. I do like the dj skirts, I have been looking into them. you know what the problem is, often times the halls and or the wedding coordinators dont get the DJ info and tables ready, so when we get there, we have to use what is left. they did not give me any skirting with table clips on top of the cloth, so that I could hide my wires. The dj skirt (black), its reasonally priced, and they have the table topper also, that I may get, although a bit more expensive

  • Awesome gig log DJ Naveen! I've played several Punjabi weddings myself but always with an Indian DJ, and the energy from the crowd is always crazy ... I love it. The only advice I have for you is to possibly clean up those wires a little on your Light-tree? There are lots of cool gadgets from DJ skirts or even some lit skirts that you can DIY. Have a look at a few of my gig logs and you'll see some neat ideas. There's one from july of 2008, that really looks clean ... otherwise, 5 stars, bro !!

  • awesome gig man! nice job! a ton of lighting!
