  • what is the difference between a pine marten and a fisher

  • I have never seen a

fisher in the wild and plenty of martens. American/Pine Martens are smaller than fishers. Both hunt red squirrels in the forest. Fishers are not known to fish.

  • WOAH! I remember I thought i saw one, but I cant remember if it was a dream or not............I wish I wrot it in a notebook! ['''']

  • Beautiful little animals, i saw one in Banff last week.

  • i love it!

  • if these were'nt endangered here I would get a one as pet :P

  • Yesterday (February 7th, 2009) I was climbing Mt. Marcy on skis (highest peak in NY) and saw this exact animal on the trail, about a mile from the summit. I wasn't sure if it was a fisher or a marten, and this great video was perfect in helping me identify it! Thank you for the great post!

  • Amazing when it's go down down-head. And it's so cute :).

  • Fisher's are three times as big. Not as common to see a fisher. Fishers are the only animal in N.A that can sucseefully kill a porcupine and not get full of quills.
