    For this video I recorded the wires by putting a polystyrene box between them and a stereo microphone into that. It's my favourite method but there are others.

    In another video on here you'll see and hear the use of electric guitar pick-ups.

    Alan Lamb, who built the wires, pioneered the use of peizo pick-ups and there are resources online on how to do this. Drop me a line if you need a link because YouTube doesn't let me publish them here.
