Heritage Montreal is springing into action to save one of downtowns most recognizable symbols: The giant milk bottle belonging to the defunct Guaranteed Pure Milk dairy company. Born from a partnership between the Quebec Federation of Milk Producers and Heritage Montreal, in addition to the collaboration of the bottles owners, this large-scale initiative will put a halt to the milk bottles deterioration and ensure its long-term survival. And in the process, help everyone remember a small part of our history.
At this moment, there are 10 threatened emblematic sites in Montreal. And so 2009 will be the year we take action. But Heritage Montreal needs your support in order to carry out these revitalization projects. In short, we need your donations more than ever.

Weakened by rain and eroded by rust, the Guaranteed Pure Milk bottle is on the verge of disappearing. But thanks to the generous donations of caring citizens and the on-going help of its principal partner, the Quebec Federation of Milk Producers, Heritage Montreal was able to launch the Save the milk bottle campaign. This painting project will ensure the milk bottles survival while helping us celebrate one our most recognizable icons.
