Bali , a popular theyyam worshipped with great devotion tells the story of Ramayana. Bali Theyyam was performed on 16 February 2009 at Andallur Kavu. The rituals in Andallur Kavu attracts the attention of devotees and scientists as a result of the magnanimous power of the diety. Here people worshipped Sree Rama, Sita,sons of Sita, Hanuman, Bali, and Sugreevan as theyyams in the form of Daivathar, Athiral and makkal, Bappuran, Bali and Sugreeva. The offering of arrows to the temple by the devotees proved the importance of the temple in the martial culture of Thalassery. Another important ritual is the Meyyalkoodal.
