Otago University NORML Friday 4:20 Protest - 13/6/08 Pt.1

Footage from the bi-weekly 4:20 protest held every Wednesday and Friday at 4:20pm on the Otago University Union Lawn. Brought to you by Otago NORML and Otago University Student's Association (OUSA). This is part one of the footage from June 11th 2008. The police have said they are going to 'crack down' on the 420 protests, and that the protest will no longer be allowed to happen. Two days before this video the police came and attempted to end the protest, leaving after about half an hour having only arrested one out of 50 people. They swore they would be at every 420 protest from then on, but two days later there was no sign of them and 65+ peaceful student activists smoked massive amounts of cannabis with no hassles. Thanks for honouring our gentleman's agreement Otago University!

Calling someone a 'bubbling ignoramus' while using 'you're' instead of 'your' is deliciously ironic. The safety isn't the point, but mixing any of those drugs can have serious effects and you know full well that if they were legalised, people would.

BTW the dumbass wearing the tiajuana shirt is giving everyone the message that he has bought drugs in an area were thousands are killed every year mostly over pot, their biggest trade. Just my 2 cents

They weren't smoking pot, you bubbling ignoramus.

The police are there to protect our community. By arresting harmless students for a harmless non-crime they are acting in contravention of their duties.

LSD and ecstasy? Hell, they should be legal. They've been proven safe many times over.

Oh, and by the way. You're prejudice is showing. Most of the "stoners" in our group are university students, hell, most of them are fairly intelligent people.
