bands and artists then wrote their material, the market came to them. now they write for the market. there will never be another zeppelin, beatles temptations, tops , aerosmith, luther, reo, frampton bto etc...........

@dharmapunk777 point taken but we are commenting on a rock video so I assume that is the genre the original comment was referring to in the first place. in the end I guess we all view our formative years through rose colored glaasses. thanks for staying civil and B.O.L. in the future.

@coolrog7564 The comment that I was replying to didn't specify rock. They said that the 70's had more meaningful music than today. Hence why I referenced shitty pop music from the 70's. To illustrate how vapid and lacking in meaning the music was back then too.
