Microsoft Office program manager Jonathan Bailor demonstrates how legacy Microsoft Office users can open and save Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007's new default XML based formats (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx, etc.) just like they can open and save Word, Excel, and PowerPoint's legacy formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt, etc.) by leveraging the Compatibility Pack. The video demonstrates this in Microsoft Office Word, and the functionality is identical in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint XP & 2003.
