There's a new superhero on the block who is trying to steal Superboy's glory, but he actually isnt all that super and has other intentions opposite of the ones a nice person might have!

  • "Trash like this"? We are talking about the difference between animating for the movie theatre (an adult audience) and animation for Saturday morning TV. They simply did not have the budget to do movie quality animation. There are only SEVENTEEN Fleicher Superman cartoons - and they weren't on a weekly deadline. As someone who saw these cartoon when they were ORIGINALLY broadcast and they looked EXACTLY like the comics did at the time, I was thrilled. As they say about one man's trash...

  • oh my gosh not the shipping lanes!!!

  • Still can't believe Commissioner Gordon was Superboy.

  • how simple everything was back in the 60s...

  • zero plot...check out my myusic on iacmusic.ca

  • ahh the classics... THEYRE TERRIBLE I WANT BATMAN BEYOND!!! jk this is awsome and almost all the shows like this nowadays suck ass. :(

  • I was always puzzled why Filmation changed their sound effects library after the 1967-8 season and went to basically a Hanna-Barbera sound effects library - I always felt the switch took some of the tension out of the cartoons.

  • Thanks so much for uploading the superman cartoons.

  • 5:05 - 5:09 reminds me of that trolls 2 scene, "They're eating her, and then their going to eat me "

  • What I find awesome about this is that Bob Hastings who would go on to play Commissioner Gordon in Batman the Animated Series plays Superboy here.

  • @jgberndt One thing I DO like about this.... in old versions, the reason he wore the stupid cape was that it was invulnerable, and could thus be used to make someone else invulnerable from harm for a short period. Now it's just a dumb showoff piece. I really hope that Nolan gives it back it's true purpose, just as he gave Batman's cape a reason as well.
