First, I don't own the rights to the Sound of Music or the Little Mermaid, but we used them in our presentation in order to make it more entertaining. After an entire semester in this class, we had to make the final interesting.
Second, I didn't tape this because I was actually in the group presenting.

Trapp Welcome to the Echoupal Residence; I am Captain Von Trapp.
Maria Thank you! I am Frauline Maria, this is my assistant Frau Mau. He used to work at the Boeing IT Call center.
Frau - It is a pleasure to meet you sir.
Trapp- Let me introduce you to the IT system. Children!
(all the children run out)
Maria- So what exactly is Echoupals problem?
Trapp- We shall explain that to you through song!
IT Children - Farmers with soybeans and nowhere to sell em
Middle men making the prices go swellin
No weather forecasts to know of the rain
Selling of crops here is just such a pain
ITC sees a chance for some improvement
The supply chain is really not showing much movement
We need a way for the farmers to chat
Instead of losing while others get fat
Farmers are trudging on their way to the Mandi
I saw one walking he then turned and he
Told me that info on prices is lax
They have a dearth of statistics and facts
When they weigh it
They can't say it
But conditions stink
A need for technology is in need me thinks
And then they won't lose so bad
Maria- That was wonderful!
Frau - Maam, maam, maam! I beg to differ, but that was awful. It was messy and sloppy, and the choreography was just ridiculous! Why the heck did you need a group of them doing the same thing. That is redundant! You guys put the dumb in redundant.
Maria- As rude as my assistant is, he has a point. Redundancies in a database system slow down vital processes that a business needs! The point of an IT system is to make work more efficient. If your systems are cluttered with redundancies, then it will hinder how people will communicate with each other. Think of the farmers! Someone think of the farmers!
Trapp- Then what will you have me do?
Frau- Sir, Sir, Sir! Im trying to answer your question! You need to streamline your IT system. (whisper) Thats another way of saying you gotta get rid of some of these redundant databases.
Child 1 - What!

Maria- You have too many systems doing the same thing
Frau- And apparently speaking other languages! This is America, we speak English here.
Trapp- Echoupal is actually Indian.
Frau- Sir, Sir, Sir!
Maria- Back to the point! You have to many systems doing the same thing and not enough doing other things. And as Echoupal grows, you might want to devote more systems for back up data. But for now, some systems do need to be cut or redistributed to improve productivity. Bigger isnt always better.
Child 6 - Thats what she said!
Frau - I suggest you start with her.
Trapp - Ill just ditch all of this, and hire a third party
Maria- You dont need to do that. IT is vital, and having an efficient system can help your company and farmers, alike!
