Kapitänleutnant Prien
This is an interesting film covering the combat lifetime of first Knights Cross winner of the U-Bootwaffe in World War II. It was made at a time when Type VII-C boats were available and it depicts the attack in Scapa Flow which resulted in sinking of the battleship HMS ROYAL OAK, and there is a lot of actual combat footage shot during the war. This gives a very good look not only at life aboard the boats and in the naval bases, but also a look at the life at home with the wives and kids. You see them trying to relax after the rigors of combat, in their homes and with their friends. It is a well presented film of the life and times of the German U-Bootfahrer in War II which were filled with high hopes and many successes. DVD 44 - available from www.sharkhunters.com.

@logancody05
The Ark Royal was sunk by U81 next to Gibraltar in November 41, not during the battle against the Bismark.
But you are right concerning the movie and the Royal Oak.

@ADSL2112 Very incorrect. This is labeled "Attack on HMS Ark Royal." The Ark Royal was a British aircraft carrier sunk on the high seas, I believe during the persuit of the Bismark. What the movie is really depicting is the sinking of the HMS Royal Oak at anchorage in Scapa Floe, Scotland.
