In the same spirit that "street artist" provocatively act beyond border, the project "License to Create" strives to inject new life into the urban environment, by creating working spaces that responds to the needs of the young artist, freelancers, and anybody that has their own business.

We developed the concept of our project in four levels - purpose, people, promotion, and place:

Purpose - What is the new version of office in the third millennium, based on the contemporary necessities?

Recently in Italy and also many countries around the world are facing the serious forces of the financial crises. Many companies are closing down and so many people has lost their jobs, which in terms making a dramatically increase of unemployment rate.

People - How can we maximize the possibilities of working context within creative communities?

From those who are unemployed or freelancer, we decide to simply divide them into two groups the business people and creative people. With a better working system, these people can truly express their abilities in different professions

Promotion - How can interactivities provide new opportunities?

Interaction in between business and creative people can increase the creative production and new opportunities in communities to the existing context.

Place- How can public places be intervened as net-working spaces?

Getting license to use public spaces as the office working environment can better communicate with the public communities and within different areas or places, there would be different characteristics and specialities of the spaces and people. So if there is a system which allows people to work in changing environment as they want around the city could help in bringing and interchanging the network in urban context.

System and Design:

There will be three components located in different public spaces, the three components are renting stations; individual offices; and head offices.

Renting station -- there will be some renting machines at metro station in Milan, for people to rent the kit and material. People can rent and return the kit and material at any station as they prefer, they can also choose the different options of materials to rent. The materials are able to be rent from the machines are customizing tools packs, inflatable tent pack of individual office shelter and furniture; and portfolio bag liked folding table.

For the individual offices, there are four main activities with maximum capacity of four people to be provided. The four activities are working, meeting, resting and playing, these are the basic daily routine in work. The individual office is a small unit with combination of the tailor made kit and inflatable personal shelter.

The shelter is designed to fitted in the four main daily activities, the inflatable cube can be simply and easily rotated according the different functions as people need, at the same time to give variable working context of changing, adapting and customizing.

Because the kit is light, inflatable, extendable and portable, people can carry it around and to set up their own office space within any licensed public space we provided as they prefer. The unit can not only to provide a changeable workspace, but also to give opportunity for the user to promotion their work to the public community in an alternative way.

For the head office space, it is a truck with our big logo that moves around the city and stop at different licensed spaces to give maximum support of resources to our customers. The head office space is for the interchange of five kinds of activities -- working, promoting, sourcing, meeting and relaxing.

Inside the truck, there would be a resource library with books, tools, equipment, inflatable furniture, etc. It is also the reception area before entering the extension of inflatable office space connected to the end of the truck.

The structure of the big inflatable office space is like cubes of different sizes connected with corridors, which is inflated and extended from the truck.

The biggest interior space in the middle is the common area, where people can arrange their own space with different activities as they want with the furniture that is rent from the truck.

Through the corridors, people can enter different rooms that are rent for bigger group of people to work, to promote or to have meeting.

There are two open spaces in between the rooms and common rooms, which is the courtyard area that is mainly for people to relax and communicate.

Our renting furniture is all inflatable or foldable, and some of them are multifunctional as it were rotated.
