  • USB Modems are the besttt for none online gaming. :) pretty much Perfect more than a DSL. on Downloading in Torrents.

since DSL is probably not CHEAP! and sux most of the times. if you realised Mobile Broadbands are a lot more faster and cheaper than a DSL internet package subscriptions. Verizon 4G modems can reach upto 45 Mbsps Download and 20 Mbps upload.. and you can take where ever you wanted to take while your downloading a file from torrent sites up to 3 GB requirable so it helps a lot :)

What you must remember is that all operators have the same amount of spectrum, the others price theirs accordingly for a reason, higher the price means better speed, low price means slower speed.

3 UK and O2 have implemented traffic management, meaning they throttle P2P, to try and keep the average speed up.

Vodafone is the most expensive but the minimum speed is 1.5Mbps, in contrast with 3 UK it would be 0.3Mbps (ranging up to 6.3Mbps and 2.5Mbps respectively).

  • @otester T-Mobile USA and clear/sprint and one or two others are the only providers I know of to slow down usage after you hit the fair usage. Verizon and AT&T have overage rates that are a bit ludicrous but they have improved some, verizon use to charge something like that on MB overage but they have moved to $10/gig. 15gigs is a lot to go through though I was looking at prices early today for the UK and I saw that on 3 UK, but all the other main carries had horrible pricing compared to them.

  • @homeboylx

The cost seems a lot higher in the US than EU, in UK for example 15GB is as low as £15 a month.

At least they slow you though and not charge for extra usage at a very high rate (sometimes as high as £0.20/MB).
