Brown and Obama in first meeting - 2 March 09

On Monday, Gordon Brown, the British prime minister, made his first visit to the United States since Barack Obama became president.

Brown says he will press Obama on the need for global action on the world economic crisis, ahead of next month's G20 meeting in London.

Every politician, all strong countries with strong economy are afraid of China. They want to be in that enormous market. And of course China as a market is very important for the World economy. But if the USA, EU, Japan, S. Corea and so on all the time must move their production to China, there will be a great depression in the World, and a permanent depression. I hope thar China, which is a great country, also understand that the rest of the world must produce-not only sell prod. made in China.

We must have a "New Balance World Economy Order". There is no balance anymore. With China on the economy course of events, there is not a balance anymore. I mean, of course China can also in the future produce goods to a lower price than for example USA and EU, but there must be more balance. All nations are loosers, if China produce everything. Today 'the West' cannot compete anymore. The wages and the Chinese currency is too low! We must all be friends and compete in a propriate and fair way.
