  • That is what I thought after you menchin were you went to college. How is the economy down their?

  • @MorrWind120 I live in Sarasota (hour south of Tampa) and went to "college" in Orlando. The economy isn't good and the "recovery" is a fake, the US is far from hitting rock bottom.

  • @jabcreations Did you go to Full Sail? Yeah that's not a real college. Real colleges are UCF, Seminole State. Good accredited schools. Letme see your portfolio.

  • @SuperDoubleohseven No, IADT though I have heard of Full Sail. Those schools you listed did not have web development programming or databases in their curriculum thus they would not have taught what I needed to learn any way. The main point of the video is to simply not go to college and blow tens of thousands of dollars on something you can do much better and for free.

  • @jabcreations this is not true.

Seminole State College gives web development classes.

  • @SuperDoubleohseven I looked them up and generally that would have been a lot better then IADT (except Oracle = more evil then M$). It's okay though because I've been slowly adding web tutorials to my site for others. The main thing here is that all the stuff you might learn while spending tens of thousands of dollars on a college can be learned for free and you can learn it at your own pace be it slower or faster and potentially more effective then a college would teach.

  • @SuperDoubleohseven Fullsail is a good technical school. Real world skills are taught.Takes forever to get hands on experience in college.I am a Multimedia student at Hawaii Pacific University. Thinking of taking newswriting: integrated media instead of web design. If web design is anything like my programming and graphic design class, i'll hate it.My concentration is video, will be going to Columbia U's grad film school in the fall where I can finally specialize in cinematography/directing.

  • true... the only real way to make it is to do research on your own. i learn photoshop from utube... i have a photoshop class now (in college) and most of the students know more than the teacher... it shouldnt be like that, its not right.

  • Haven't logged into u2b for a while but had to1. To subscribe and 2. Thank you for the great info. Decided to take up web design/development but started with the self taught approach and was thinking about learning most of it prior to getting my degree but based off this video may just skip the degree all together (still debating though). Anyways, watched your pro. design vid #1 and then this, looking forward to watching the rest...maybe I can get some advice down the line, thanks again.

  • @MorrWind120 I'm in Floriduh.
