This is a detailed tutorial on how to connect and use 2 Pioneer CDJ-400s with a mixer and a Rane SL3 to use Serato Scratch Live. Follow my example for setting up your gear or just watch and learn and use this as guide in helping with your decision to buy an SL3, Pioneer CDJ-400s or both. This tutorial can help you with other USB controllers as well since setup is similar.

Please post any comments, questions or ideas you may have and add and subscribe if you haven't already.

  • Do i've got to do the same steps if i have cdj-1000's ??

  • @Leodernoob Yes except you will need to use the timecode CDs

  • do i need serato to hook up cdjs to a computer??? plz help

  • @ThisIsRemixXD Not if you have the right type of CDJs. Serato is only the interface software between the CDJs and the computer

  • @TheBARRISSS I have been so inundated with answering questions on my videos, sorry I'm behind. Did you ever figure out the issue?

  • @haim1125 It must be related to the way you have the sound settings. Sorry for the late reply, there are so many videos I am trying to answer questions. Have you figured it out yet?

  • @SuperErin21 Yes, I always use the latest updates

  • @14pacer Yes, you will need the timecoded CDs but I could be wrong. I am not familiar with the CDJ-700s by Gemini

  • @KhaoShung Of course, I have i7 MBP but in this video I was using my new Toshiba Qosmio. The Mac came later. Keep in mind this video is almost 3 years old.
