Piston ARs: How Much Cleaner and Cooler are they? Live Fire Test 2/2

The newest debate to firearms is answered. Exactly how much cooler and cleaner does a piston AR run vs the old style direct gas impingement? I pit the two rifles against each other in a head to head test using 100 rounds each of Wolf ammo. Each AR has the same barrel length, same muzzle brake and same ammo therefore the hot gases are expelled in the same manner. The cycling of the action is the only difference and the Piston system is indeed far cooler running and cleaner in the breach than the Direct Impingement. The carbon does build up in the piston block but it is easier to clean than the extra scrubbing of the bolt and carrier.
