@TheLastMonarch - don't EVER speak for Giants fans...Barry was in our minds, how happy he must be, but sad his dad couldn't be here to see it...Barry knows that NONE of us thinks he tarnished anything, except for the dreams of opposing pitchers...the pirates should be the only team with regrets...everytime Giants fans enter the house that Barry helped build, he will be in our hearts and minds...

@TheDodgersAreTrash - I don't think it was funny...I would have thought it was weird if he did mention zito, I mean, a cheerleader is still just a cheerleader, no matter how much we're stuck paying him...if Barry had mentioned him, it would have been out of pity anyway... WORLD CHAMPION SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS... wow, its been almost two months and it still feels like a dream...

@TheLastMonarch Actually I was thinking of him, in addition to the entire 2002 team. More than that, I was thinking of the 1993 team that got screwed by the archaic way it determined playoff teams. I was also thinking of the 1989 team with Will Clark, Kevin Mitchell, and Robby Thompson. And I know family that were older than me that were thinking about GayLord Perry, Bobby Bonds, the Alou Brothers, and both Willie McCovey and Mays. When it was 8 outs left I know we thought of gm6 '02.

@TheLastMonarch What are you talking about? Because of Barry we were able to build the stadium the Giants always deserved but never had, even in HArlem. When Barry first wore a SF Uniform they won 103 games and came 1 short of the playoffs under the old divisional rules. He won MVP and that was less than a year after the near sale to Tampa. You can talk about the BALCO controversy, but Giants fans aren't haunted by Bonds. I think your "guarantee" needs to be reevaluated.

LastMonarch - The only team Bonds hurt was the Pirates, by leaving - they never had a winning season since he left. Bonds was a legend and kept baseball in San Fran. But this was a great team and they did it their own way.
