The kitchen is the center of every home, the new American living room. Its the social heart of the house where we nurture each other, literally and figuratively. At House Beautiful we celebrate innovative ways, big and small, to make your kitchen more personal, comfortable and technologically advanced.
House Beautiful indulges consumers' love for the kitchen, first in our editorial pages and then beginning in 2008, live at the Kitchen of the Year in Rockefeller Center, New York
City. Presented on the Plaza for the past two summers (right where the Christmas tree is during the holidays!), the Kitchen of the Year is House Beautifuls premier marketing program, delivering meaningful and interactive connections to consumers on a scale that no other magazine can provide.
Point of View:
The past two years, House Beautiful has invited A-list partners to join us in defining the kitchens point of view. In 2009,
House Beautiful presented a kitchen inspired by Contributing Editor, Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa. Visitors were able to experience Inas kitchen first-hand—a kitchen that nourishes as much as it inspires, that is warm and inviting, and encourages guests to gather and linger. Inas involvement added tremendous buzz and PR to the program and framed 20 sponsors products with her wildly popular cooking and entertaining philosophy.
