  • The top arm isnt correct, long strokes and pull that top arm back to close to your chest, rotate, reach forward and pull long

  • @geoffr25 i'd disagree, bending or punching the top arm during the pull destabilizes the paddle, the top arm should have a slight bend and stay rigid throughout the stroke maintaining pressure linearally through the shaft

  • Good technique - relaxed and powerful. The only thing I would like to see is her top arm bending more with the pull back and thus keeping the blade at 90 degrees for as much of the paddle travel as possible. As it is, the paddle is actually lifting the boat at the end of its travel rather than thrusting it forward. I coach in NSW, Australia.

  • however i like to nitpick, and may i add some observations:

    1. seems like the seat is abnormally higher than the water, right? That probably made you lean so so much forward, and your pull started a tiny bit earlier than the blade was fully buried. i say maybe a longer paddle for practice.

    2. the latte part of the pull has too much of a negative paddle and the exit was a bit late, both will reduce the power of the pull, sink the boat, and create a bit of a drag at the end.

  • excellent side view and breakdown of how a stroke should be done. great job!!

  • @barndog007 i thought the exact same thing immediately

  • Exit is definitely initiated too late in the stroke.

  • 文龍 我們看的應該是一樣的吧! 哈...

  • She is pulling out to late, atleast that is my opinion.
