This is a short video on getting my new Lace Alumitone Deathbuckers fitted and our reaction to the new sound.

The pickups are great, very clear and powerful. Despite the name they are fantastic for a good, naturally compressed jazz sound and let harmonics jump out even on the neck pickup.

  • what's that thing attached to your guitar? The thing with the wire leading from the bridge?

  • Hi Mate, it's a Gk2a Midi pickup for playing midi guitar.

Have a wee look on my website's midi page for more info on midi guitar. Or I've got a demo of my midi stuff somewhere on my youtube channel.

    Cheers

  • You should invest in bareknuckle pickups. Worlds best sounding production pickups by far.

  • Aye, they are excellent, but the Alumitones suit me better!

  • Thinking about putting one of these in the bridge of my custom AL 3100. It's a baritone. Stock PU's just don't have what I'm looking for. Almost like deadspots but it could just be the pick up. Stuck between this and the EMG H4

  • @thugnastyscripts I've clipped strings for 31 years and haven't had neck warping problems? Think about a Floyd Rose, if rapid tension changes warped necks people like EVH, Vai, or Satch wouldn't ever have playable guitars. LoL.

  • @thugnastyscripts what about extreme fr use? why doesnt it affect the neck tension?

  • @thugnastyscripts It's you who clearly has no understanding. Got ANY proof whatsoever to back up your claims? Didn't think so. Cutting the strings will not damage the neck. A guitar neck can be left for months without strings, with tension still on the truss rod, and nothing will happen. It'll take a few days to settle in once restrung, thats it.

If what you believe is true, why doesn't doing a divebomb damage anything? Full string tension to none and back in less than a second.

  • @littlephil23 you clearly don't have an understanding of the physics of neck tension do you? Never clip strings.

  • @Wiggzzzz clipping strings release the neck tension to fast causing the inevitable neck warp. I wouldn't let that guy touch any of my beauties.
