@Crizzle789 Greatest atrocities? I'm sure there are many unrecorded attrocities. Take the USA and how they use South America as its back garden. Look at all the democratically elected people who were assassinated by the CIA or replaced by puppet dictators who would give all their natural resources and wealth to the US for peanuts allowing 5% to live in luxury whilst the rest remained poor. This is why they hate Hugo Chavez for example, because he said PISS OFF this is our OIL not yours!

Yes I know that. But if you read my comments carefully, you would've relized I was talking about who is "considered" the most evil person of existance. If you polled 100 people asking who they believed the most evil person who ever lived was, I guarantee the person with the most votes would be Hitler.

@Crizzle789 Everybody forgets about Stalin he killed over 30 Million people and he hated the Jews also, or how about Mao, he killed 60 Million people. Surely these people are just as bad if not worse. I'm not saying numbers are necessarily important but everybody is so obsessed with how many Jews were killed in WWII. Was it 6 million? More? Less? Maybe we should broaden our sphere of knowledge.

Sacrifice of the men? British Kiwi and Aussie troops had been fighting the JAPS for 3 years before Americans entered the war. Many were killed or worse captured and faced brutal and harsh conditions that were against the Geneva convention.
After the first 3 episodes not even a mention of their sacrifice. Surely the Marines would have known the Brits and her colonies were there fighting? Speilberg always does this, if they are not Jewish or American he doesn't care about accuracy.

Just to talk about this miniseries & not politics...In my opinion, after watching the first 3 three episodes so far, is this is a very weak story. Episodes 1 & 2 were below my expectations. And episode 3 was like watching a daytime soap opera.
There's something missing from this series. I don't know if it's the overall structure on how the story is being told, but I keep watching, hoping it'll get better, & it hasn't. So far it's not even holding a candle to the 'Band of Brothers" series.

Germany started Two World Wars the only two world wars ever fought. Out of all the countries that could lecture to the US I don't see Germany being particularly high up on the list.
