Its remarkable and innovative but I really think it will end up like the segway. :/

1) You need a constant flow of hydrocarbons (or derivatives) as fuel.

2) You need to keep it at high temperatures for it to be fully functional.

3) You are still emitting greehouse gases into the atmoshpere (CO2).

So overall its a very clever and fancy way of burning fuel more efficiently, but I hardly see how its going to revolutionize human access to cheap and abundant energy :/.

This is a wonderful and promising new technology but I wouldn't say it could begin to replace solar just from a sheer energy independence perspective. Yes, solar has a larger footprint but it's ready to go out of the box. The BloomBoxes still need a fossil fuel (natural gas), so that still makes you dependent on other energy sources.
