Your electrical system is another major component of your new Lennar home. It doesnt require much maintenance, but does require knowledge of the parts and a keen awareness of the danger of electricity and how to stay safe. This section covers GFCIs (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters), switched outlets, smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors, and pre-wiring. Use of these items, including how to reset the breaker, testing GFCIs, and maintenance of Carbon Monoxide and smoke detectors is discussed.

  • Hi itscool1968 and thank you for taking the time to watch our video and comment on it. The video was produced a couple of years ago and the regulation that you are mentioning was not effective back then.

  • The main cause of circuit breakers tripping in my home is when someone is using a kettle, a coffee maker, the high powered electric fan above the stove, and the microwave or the ceiling lights in whatever combination. You have NO idea how skittish I am at the possibility that an appliance shorted out causing an overload.
