Thank's a ton! While I wanted to do more of a Skip James version than your Oh Brother/King arrangement, your Vids put me on track to easily pick out Skip's old recording. So now I'm doing cool hybrid mix of the two!
I've been playing by ear for 40 years--I'm with Mike on TABs--but Skynard/Alman Bros was as close to the Delta style as I've ever played until about a year ago. Anyway, If you ever get to NYC, drop me a line; lunch is on me, anywhere you like. SERIOUSLY!
A great song and a great lesson! The first part seems really the hardest for me, but once you ge into the rhythm learning the rest gets easier. Thanks for the effort!
Good stuff man I really appreciate it. I'm going to be using this as soon as I finish up perpetual blues machine in a day or two. I'll let you know how it goes.
@JimEcee1 OOPS, that comment was meant for Hard Time Killing Floor. But, hey, while I'm here. . .
