The Umbrella Ladies of Anne-Marie Mulgrew & Dancers Co. return to the Schuylkill River Banks as part of The Hidden River Project. The audience was invited to become part of the piece in the rock garden section. The Umbrella Dance originated as part of Dances for Imaginary Places, a site-specific traveling work for dance and video, which debuted at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival in 2000. Since then variations of this piece have been seen in most of Philly's major landmarks and neighborhoods, including Wilma Theater/Dance Boom, Dilworth Plaza/City Hall, Frankfort Arts Festival, University City area, and the Philadelphila Museum of Art.
