Here's a 2 minute snippet of the Mordred reunion/Curtis Grant benefit.

NOTES: Steve Scates is the ORIGINAL vocalist for Mordred. In their early years, the band's material was more focused on heavier technical thrash and viking influences. The last time Steve fronted Mordred was in 1985. When they changed vocalists in 1986, the band also changed styles. For the die hard thrashers of the Bay Area, it was a move not well received. Even Art Liboon mentioned that Mordred should have changed their name.

  • Good, but not Scott....End of chat!

  • hm, sounds like late Baloff from Exodus.

  • @JohnnyFox86

Steve was a founding member of Mordred when they were all in high school. They played with many of the Bay Area bands such as Death Angel, etc, etc. When Alex Gerald left the band guitarist Danny White took over alot of the writing and transformed Mordred into a funk /metal hybrid. Steve represents the foundation of Mordred as a metal band from day one.

  • This is the Mordred I remember. . .

  • Kill, kill, and kill!!!

  • increadible!!

love mordred..need this show let me know if theres footage id love to book them!! gods

  • Does anyone know if Sven was in a band like a few years back called Mulitply???

  • Never knew about this! Think this front man sounds good although he's not Scot and doesn't fit with the Mordred i knew.. Scott had a lot to do with making them unique.

  • I love Mordred, but in my humble opinion Steve Skates is completely out of place. Mordred were great because they didnt embody every horrible cliche of heavy metal.... they were individuals and sadly overlooked as the true innovators that they were.

  • Its a song about charles Ng and Leonard Lake.
