Congratulations @ YOU for reading the INFO for the VIDEO before POSTING nonsense...! :) Seriously, thanks for reading before posting.
I power it on, but it doesn't POST. Just keeps restarting itself...
The problem is not the board or memory. I had a 5000BE running on it yesterday and used it to flash the bios to most current version at the time, which was 603, and was listed as compatible with the phenom x4 9850. The problem must be an incompatability between the cpu and board.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the power would cycle like that without ever POSTing? I've tried a different PSU, as well as setting it on an anti-static bag only to test it. Doesn't seem to be any kind of short. I think it's just the CPU, eh?
On the CPU itself:
AMD Phenom

Update:
Thanks for all the views and comments, I didn't expect there to be so many people interested in this... :)
The latest bios version for this board is now up to 1301, and probably now supports the phenom x4 9850, except I won't be testing this. I dropped the 5000+ BE into the Asus M3A HDMI board, set it up with express gate, Deathnote boot splash screen picture, vista 32 bit, and a productivity suite before pitching it to mi madre to serve as her primary home desktop, where it will remain until she jacks it up and brings it back to me for repair... :P Maybe then I'll consider updating bios and dropping the phenom back in for a try, but not concerned about it.
The Phenom X4 9850 now resides on my own Asus M3A 770 board, and caters to my ADD multi-application, multi-screen home computing needs.
So, my point is, both of these components, and all the RAM sticks, HDDs, video cards, etc. involved actually WORK. However, the 9850 and the M3A-H HDMI simply did not work TOGETHER with bios rev 603. That's what i'm demonstrating in the picture, that's what I'm telling you now, and now you're privy to the new stuff, so yeah, ok, good.
Oh, and yes I'm working on the carpet, but it's actually on an anti-static bag and I'm wearing an anti-static wrist strap. And besides, all of these components are currently working, so obviously nothing shorted. The cat, however, ate a tube of acrtic silver and died. sry, j/k, can't help it, I watch too much South Park to maintain a healthy sense of humor.
Peace, love, and breakfast tacos.

There is something weird here.
After some research i found that the M3A 770 is compatible only with the HD9850WCJ4BGH model, this is the 95W version and teorically it can't handle any 125W processors, while the M3A-H/HDMI is compatible with the 95W and 125W ones (HD9850XAJ4BGH/HD985ZXAJ4BGH).
From what i can see this is the 125W model, are you saying that it didnt work on the M3A-H/HDMI and is working on the M3a 770? lol

That's exactly what I'm saying... The "something weird here" feeling is exactly what I felt when I discovered this at home, and why I posted the vid.
The 125W model is, in fact, still working GREAT on my M3A 770 though, so at least I didn't have to send anything back.
