Will you still be kissing ass when they're kicking in your door?
Are you considered second class, because they're rich and you are poor?
I don't believe in class divides, but if money keeps the score,
When that divide gets large enough, then you know it's time for a classy war.
Because every revolution begins with a chant,
Why do they have everything I'm feeling that I can't?
The fantasy of freedom for each and every ant.
I know I'll never be a successful sycophant,
So instead I'll be the voice and find a purpose for my rant-

Wondering where the hell the economic profits went,

Into a world where the social safety net is torn,
The richest ones must learn, to let the others have a turn,
They must learn how to share before it all begins to burn.

I am the voice of the teachers that we can't afford,
The unemployed, the students on whom debt is poured,
I am the voice of the 99 percent,
Wondering where the hell the greatness of our nation went.

I am the voice of the one's who came before us,
Three million years man's been part of nature's chorus,
Obeying nature's laws evolution helped us solve,
The mystery of mankind as we continued to evolve

I am the voice of a planet paralyzed by
Destructive policies, veiled behind financial lies,
It seems that as we grow there's no need to be foes.
To the only home we have, can we change? God only knows.

Who would have thought it would come to this?
We have to change, we can't procrastinate,
Or one day we'll look around and realize it's too late.
Perhaps that day has passed perhaps it's yesterday,

@edleew We are a republic, that is true, we are a democratic republic. It's not about class envy it's about the whole system being rigged to gradually make it harder and harder for people to rise up to a higher class. It is becoming an aristocracy where the rich are becoming the nobility and they are implementing policies to make sure that they stay at the top. They have every advantage, especially when they can afford the best education for their children and the rest cannot.

It says for the republic for which it stands ! they keep calling it a democracy . I'm just lost .If it was up to me there would be a vote for everything . Yeah acorn is for squirrels..
