Arr. by Andres Segovia. This piano piece was given the subtitle "Barcarolla" which means boatsong... I'd be happy to hear your opinion: Did I make the boat rock gently, or did I just sink it in the mediterranean ?)
When I played this piece in masterclasses they all told me to change the arrangement, but I guess I'm stubborn so I've kept on playing more or less exactly what Segovia published. It's difficult (and I fail plenty of times...)but when it works nothing compares to the maestros ideas.

  • Thanks Can & Peo! I don't know the English word but I understand "agogik" and it makes me glad to hear that... I guess most people would want to throw a metronome at me...

  • In a mirror.....well played Sir

  • Fantastic guitar playing!

  • Just beautiful !

  • great.....it's quite weird to see a left-handed guitar....i'm left handed myself but i 'm used to play with a right-handed guitar.....your sound has a beautiful brilliance...keep it up!!!

  • wonderful :)

The ship is sailing safely to the sound of your guitar playing

  • You played it great and didn't sink the boat.

  • That's true to an extent, but I've learned to play upside-down on righty guitars, which has improved my playing somewhat lol

I would even say that somethings are easier when mirrored.

  • It's pretty anoying to be a left-handed guy, isn't it?You cannot use another guitar immeditely.(I play anything that comes to my hands :)

  • i'm pretty sure he's playing ana vidovics transcription any way... this guy kicks ass no matter what anyone says this guy has good tempo and "doesn't" skip any notes he just playing his piece to fast its complicate when your playing it so stfu

  • Arne, I really enjoyed hearing and seeing you play this. It's clear you love what you're doing, and if I learn this piece as well as you I will be very happy! One question: has anyone told you your tempo is a little irregular in 1 or 2 places? You jump in a little early sometimes after a note that lasts 2 beats. Segovia (and Yepes) did that, despite his 99% heavenly playing!!
