Are the transducers water proof?

I have a sit in Kayak and as such do not a have a flat spot pointing straight down on the hull to mount the transducer. What would be the best way to mount one in this case?

Is there a fairly flat spot just behind the seat? If not, you can make a bracket to place on the rudder mount area. If you shoot at an angle it will not be very accurate.

Hi fishyaker, did you use a specific in-hull transducer or were you able to use the transom transducer? I understand about the air bubble issue just wondering about the transducer needed.

Sorry for the delay... Just make sure the bottom of the puck is flat. I have used standard H-birds and agles with no problem at all. Cheers!

Really easy...
Just find a centered spot inside the hull, and rough it up with sandpaper. Then glue down the puck. Make sure there are no air bubbles in the glue though, or resolution will be affected.
