North Hollywood shootout was an armed confrontation between two heavily-armed and armored bank robbers Larry Eugene Phillips Jr. & Emil Dechebal Matasareanu and patrol and SWAT officers of the LAPD on February 28, 1997, at a Bank of America teler-office
Two suspects were killed, and 15 people were injured, including 10 policemen. None of the injuries incurred during the hour-long shootout was "life threatening,
" Los Angeles Police Chief Willie Williams said.
Although only the suspects were killed, the sheer number of injuries made this one of the bloodiest single cases of violent crime in the 1990s, and one of the most significant single bank robberies of the 20th century.

The female at the end says she is sad that the robbers died and that they should have been prosecuted for what they had did. Why??? So that the tax payers would have paid for their medical treatment, lawyers, trials and them spending the rest of their lives in prison? The robbers themselves are better off dead and we as society are better off with them dead.

"they didnt kill anybody" they were just good guys trying to be scary huh it's sad how often that happens. Correct me if im wrong, but why are some people capable of killing their won chidlren with their bare hands, and others even with a.k.'s cant look at somebody in the eye and kill him?

@Evilripp thats okay if you wanna live in tyrannical police state where your rights and freedoms get routinely trampled on but me and the rest of us wanna live in a free society. Actually those two provide a blueprint on how to fight the power. Both the police state and the bank they robbed are the enemy of the people. Nothing like a hearing a bunch of cops begging for their lives or SWAT in the face of sheer firepower from two average joes who never even served a day in the military.

Matsareanu and Phillips are a little ahead of their time. At first I thought they were the crazy crooks but really the banks and the cops are the crooks. With this nation falling apart the banks robbing us blind and the police state trampling on our rights they are role models to emulate!!!! More folks need to take up high powered and automatic weaponry, rob these banks and rain hell and bulletfire on those commie/fascist cops.
