I have an old compilation recording made by Starday Records with this song on it.
These guys were WAY ahead of their time - incredible picking, timing and super harmony.
(look for Jesse McReynolds playin twin-fiddle harmony on Dixie Hoedown - amazing!)

The correct spelling is Jim and Jesse McReynolds. In the early '50s, their fiddler was Sonny James, who had the hit "Young Love" in 1957.

Wow! I had an LP called "Old Country church" by Jim and Jesse which belonged to my grandma before she died in 1977. Now THAT's a long time ago. I'll have to try and find that record again.
