One little correction - it's not located in Alentejo but in Beira Baixa.
Sometimes Idanha county is described as the extention of Alentejo into Beira. That is due to it's incredibly hot and dry summers, long plains and trees. But it's Beira Baixa in Castelo Branco's district.
