Hi all
Another use of the fantastic Racal kevlar banded wire as used by the British Army in the clansman kit.
This antenna is 2 whole elements uncut, they are looped around a dipole center and cable tied.
It covers 80m-10m easily and 160m at a push.

  • i was in the forces they never came with the plugs on the end the aux bag that came with the prc 320 but great vid

  • @m3xlipat Thats weird pat all the Racal Antenna wire elements I've bought/sold have all had probes on the end to attach to the dipole centers, Maybe its a different kit?

  • @m3xlipat may be are these from the prc range or the new bowman radios they are use in they had just started to phase the prc range out i have the same ant wire here they have back ,brown and red tie wraps on for meters feet how well does the ant work? we did exercise in germany and spoke back to blackpool on them with half wave lenghts for the given bands they never worked that well ya should do another vid to show the rx cheers pat listen on 14.285/21.285 @21:00 see if you can hear us pat
