Video biking south on 9th Avenue down the bike lane almost cycle track new york city new york. Saturday afternoon. While the infrastructure is better than most places, the traffic lights are timed for the cars, not for bikes. In copenhagen, lights are timed for the bikes at 12 mph the average speed of a bike. I thought I was going to be impressed, but after riding it, not very much other than the respect for the bike via physical separation.

You should carry a crowbar or something from now on, and next time there's a car in the bike lane, bust it's windshield.

i do like bike lanes. even the ones in manhatten. they really dont bother drivers. its a good thing there is bike traffic lights in manhatten or else u just crash. manhatten in nyc has a lot of cars. i really dont get why they have that bike lane in the left. buts a one way offcourse.

going 3-5 city blocks and stopping every time like that gets annoying. why don't they have the bike lane on the right side of the road?
