Gov. Jan Brewer and the Legislature's budget cuts are making Arizona's schools Third World. Arizona is already ranked dead last in per pupil education investment, but the governor and legislature are cutting deeper while simultaneously pushing for tax giveaways for Wall Street insurance firms. Their short-sighted policies threaten Arizona's economy and our future.

I know threw first hand experience that Arizona's education quality has been horrible for decades (under both republican and democrat rule) How much we've been spending on education has not made any significant difference. Meaning that there is a lot of bogus programs and wasteful spending here... Jane's cut's finally reflect the quality. Hopefully once the budget is taken care of we can gear new funding to better Arizona's schools. but to say republicans don't care is emotional not logical.
