From the 2002-album "Slick Trax". Written by leadsinger Jimmie Mack. Earl Slick is wellknown guitarist for John Lennon, David Bowie et al.
The Lyrics:
I am drinking bourbon and coke
In this dirty hotel
I got a head full of vengeance
I got a story to tell
I am what you see and that´s all I want to be
Ain´t a man in the world got a right
To try and crucify me
Feel like a crucified badman
Feel like an animal caged
Because of white collared music-men
I can´t get back up on stage
It may be to them but my life´s no joke to me
Enough´s enough so please
Won´t you set me free
Am I clean
Am I clean
Am I spotless
Am I pure
There's a cool version of this froim the ESB album Lost and Found. It features an extensive cello introduction (and outro) and the original vocalist of the band, Jack O'neil. Either way, thanks for posting this.

This song is from the Earl Slick Band's first album (around 1976) and was re-released on Trax. It is now available as a double CD with Razor Sharp, the second and last Earl Slick Band Album. WELL WORTH OWNING AT ANY PRICE.
