Great explanation, I believe it's (Carrier IQ) is not a matter of Android system bundle app, looks like an operator bundle... I have a LG Optimus One (P500) and this Carrier IQ is not present. My phone was bougth unlocked, and following your video instruction the carrier IQ process was not found. Also, all process I have running alow me to stop them at anytime, which does not happen with a process like Carrier IO.

@TheSportCompact Thanks. I am really worried by the whole issue though. I actually do mobile banking and what not. If carrieriq captures bank logins and everything else that I key in, as their software seems to be able to capture every possible keystroke, it can lead to truly unforeseen consequences of epic proportions. Yes, you are right, it is a global issue.
Does this include Blackberry' models too? PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
Good job guys.

The Nexus devices don't have it, so not all Sprint phones have it. I checked my Nexus S 4G and it doesn't have it.

@Ryuuie Not all phones have it showing in running services. Ones that are confirmed to have CIQ don't have it showing in running services.
