I love the old fashioned manners displayed here. Not only did the men stand up to greet the guest, so did both women--as a sign of respect due to an elder.

@Bluejeans0701 Dorothy Kilgallen? Visually beautiful? About as comely as a prune maybe. You must be clinical blind! As for being a journalist, she was one hell of one. Tenacious, unrelenting--and loyal to her sources. Is said to be how she got herself killed.

@RRaquello I didn't know any of that. I'm old enough to remember that whole era, but I can't remember when Kilgallen died or how. All I've ever heard is that she was maybe snuffed out by ppl close to the assassination. My family always watched What's My Line, to us, we sure didn't know she was drunk. Kinda sad that she died that way and left a mystery behind. Thanks for the info.

Dorothy Kilgallen had a severe booze problem, which included appearing obviously drunk on What's My Line several times. She mixed booze and sleeping pills and died accidently. Some theorists want to connect her death to the Kennedy Assassination. It's BS, but let them have their fun.

I love this question! Of course Dorothy Kilgallen must have recognized her own father had she not been blindfolded. I love TV shows like this. And I had not known Dorothy Kilgallen was a journalist; she looked beautiful enough to be an actress instead.
