This is a short video explaining how to use the Ion Drum Rocker with DTXMania, the Drummania simulator. I don't make many tutorial videos so gimme a break. :p
This may or may not work with the Rock Band 2 drums + cymbals. Let me know if you try it.
Please rate the video if it's helpful...that way it will show up better in the YT search results.
In the zip below, there's the Glovepie script, written by Madcat, and "Rock Band & ION to MIDI.exe". written by dhunter and fixed by Madcat, For some reason it's not working for me @ the moment , so I could only show you the Glovepie solution. **UPDATE**PS3 now supported!
A fine fellow named beege_man has modified Matcat's original Glovepie script to work for the PS3 drums and was kind enough to contact me with it so I can share it! The PS3 version is called "IonForDTX_PS3.PIE"

DO NOT set up DTXMania using the drumset by itself. The Glovepie app sends MIDI notes to DTXMania, rather than button presses. If you have any buttons that you mapped in DTXMania, delete your config.ini file & start over.
*IF YOU'RE USING RB1 DRUMS YOU DO NOT NEED THIS ZIP. DTXMANIA WILL RECOGNIZE YOUR "BUTTONS" FINE*

In case you're unfamiliar, DTXMania is a free program you can play with edrums, a keyboard, or a game controller. Download here (right-click and do "save as"):

Create a folder in your DTXMania directory named "DTXFiles", and place your simfile/song folders in there. Each song will have its own folder, and they come that way when you download, them, so simply copy and paste, or unzip the simfile directly to your DTXFiles folder.

About the lane colors:
If you're curious about why my lanes are colored funnily, it's because I reskinned it to match the colors on the Rock Band drums, which are what I use (Ions). If you want to learn more about this or download my skins, visit my page about it:

Thank you very much for this video. Two questions: Has the double note issue been fixed? I'm using a PS3 ION. Also, I have no issues running videos outside of DTXMania(I have CCCP installed, so I know it isn't a codec problem), but for the life of me the AVIs that come with songs just aren't playing in DTXMania, the option isn't turned off either. Any ideas why they aren't playing in DTXMania?
Thanks again for the very helpful video; it was because of it that I bought the ION Drum Rocker.

@creamsodaboy The double note issue has not been fixed to my knowledge. For the videos, the issue seems to always by fixed by downloading the divx codec from the divx site. I know it seems redundant, but it can't hurt to try.

You're awesome! Thanks for doing this video and for taking questions. Do you know what program I can use to open the PIE file? My Windows XP doesn't want to do it automatically. (I'm trying to open IonforDTX_PS3.PIE)

@Dagnycity Ah, you need to install Glovepie. I think I included it in the link on my site. You open the file in Glovepie, then hit the Run button. Then open up Notepad and hit your drums and cymbals and they should all type different letters. If you have a hard time with DTXMania recognizing the pads correctly, backup and delete your config.ini file. You will need to configure your bass pedal as a regular button in DTXM, not a keyboard key, as far as I recall.

@Billkwando That was fast! Thank you. Sorry. I didn't watch the video closely enough.

@Dagnycity Is it working now? Do the pads register in Notepad? Were you able to go through and map the keys?
